1965 Austin Healey Full Restoration (Circa 2014) Carburettor Access Panel.
I was asked to bring back this Healey by a couple that had just purchased the car. They were passionate about this Healey and its restoration. They were referred to me by a former president of the New England Region of the Austin Healey Club of America, Donald Paye. The photographs included here are of the Carburettor Access Panel as a result of a Dennis Welch Intake and Jaguar carburettors being pushed back under the shroud. The material was .062" 1100-0 aluminum. Forming operations the P9 Pullmax. As traditional butt welded into the main shroud, dressed, filed and brought to 180 grit finish ready for paint. There will be additional posts regarding this build.
